The Quality Assurance Officer is a member of the Academic Planning and Quality Assurance Committee

Membership of the Committee

> Vice-Principal of the College (Chairperson)

> Heads of Department

> ICT Officer

> Students’ Affairs Officer

> College’s Internal Auditor

> College Finance Officer Or His Representative

Functions of the Committee:

1.  To develop policy and standards for planning, quality assurance and assessment.

2.  To maintain guideline and standards for ensuring best practices in departments and units.

3.  To review and recommend new academic plans and new assessment system.

4.  To develop policy and standards for planning quality assurance and needs assessment.

5.  Oversee the organization and development of ICT as a vital tool in service delivery in all departments and units.

6.  To plan new academic programmes and to direct them to the appropriate body for accreditation.

Functions Of The Quality Assurance Unit Includes The Following:

1.   To promote quality assurance in teaching, research and community service within the College.

2.   Request at the end of every academic year, reports from departments and units on their activities.

3.   Coordinate the activities of the departments regarding the preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic planning, as well as quality service delivery in respect to teaching, research, administration and the attainment of academic and service excellence.

4.   Prepare and maintain an up-to-date database on staff and students as well as basic statistics on the College

5.   Appraisal of management, teaching and non-teaching at the end of every academic year.
