Aburi, August 2026 — The Presbyterian Women’s College of Education (PWCE), Aburi, has strengthened its support for Presbyterian education in the Eastern Region with the donation of eight swivel chairs and two laptop computers to the Office of the Eastern Regional Manager of Presbyterian Schools.

The donation, presented by the Principal of PWCE, Dr Mrs Cynthia Anim, is part of the College’s corporate social responsibility and its commitment to supporting institutions and initiatives within the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
Presenting the items, Dr Mrs Anim said the gesture was in response to an appeal from the Regional Manager’s Office and reflected the College’s willingness to contribute to the work of the Church despite its own operational challenges.
She described the donation as the College’s “widow’s mite”, emphasising that meaningful institutional support was not always measured by the size of the contribution but by the willingness to share available resources for the advancement of a common cause. According to her, PWCE considered it important to support the Regional Manager’s Office because of its strategic role in coordinating and supervising Presbyterian schools across the Eastern Region.
Receiving the items, the Eastern Regional Manager of Presbyterian Schools, Ms Eva Odi Kumi, expressed appreciation to the management of PWCE for the gesture.
She noted that the Regional Manager’s Office had responsibility for Presbyterian schools throughout the Eastern Region and therefore needed appropriate furniture and equipment to create a conducive working environment and enhance administrative efficiency. Ms Odi Kumi said the donated chairs and laptops would improve the working conditions of staff and support the effective discharge of the office’s responsibilities.
She commended PWCE for responding positively to the office’s appeal, describing the donation as a demonstration of institutional solidarity and a practical expression of the Presbyterian Church’s commitment to supporting its educational structures.
The gesture further strengthens the collaborative relationship among institutions within the Presbyterian educational system and reflects PWCE’s commitment to contributing to the development of education and the broader mission of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
