Estate/ Works Department

The Estate and Works department plays a very vital role in the smooth running of the Institution. It is the responsibility of this department to ensure that the College infrastructure and campus are conducive for the core function of the College which is teaching and learning.

The estate/works manager is guided in his work by the Works and Physical Development committee (WPD) chaired by the Vice-Principal. Daily or weekly meetings are held on any developmental issues including works and maintenance, management of estates, ground and gardens, sanitation and water supply etc.

Supervisory Role

The Estate/Works manager ensures that all the skilled and unskilled workers under his supervision are given equitable amount of work, each day covering all requirements of the College so that the work will be done well. He also makes sure that all materials given to the workers are used effectively.

Building Service

  • Maintenance

The department oversees regular maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, block laying, carpentry, electricals, fire extinguisher and air conditioning repair. Some of the maintenance work is out-sourced to individuals who have knowledge in the respective field or area. Creating a conducive educational ambience in the Colleg is a key role of the estate/works manager. This is to enable the manager to anticipate the need of the institution and make the arrangement to ensure that facilities can be used and be made ready for the all events. Having dustbins strategically placed and cleaned at significant times during the day is very vital.

  • Utilities

The department is responsible for ensuring continuous power supply through the use of emergency plant that provides power when the national grid fails. The department also managers two (2) mechanized borehole in addition to that of the Ghana water company limited (G.W.C.L) for water supply on campus.

  • Janitor/Cleaning Services

These services are provided by casual workers employed by the school and overseen by the department.

  • Space and equipment rental

Our excellent facilities and the serene environment of our campus continues to attract individuals and organisations who rent them for accommodation, workshops and seminars when school vacates.
